How To Start A Blog

How to start a blog? Hire me! I am a writer, willing and able to tackle a variety of subjects. I have been writing professionally since my first job as a research associate studying trends in the French healthcare market (of all things).

From there, I moved on to wrangling lawyers on conference calls and honing my organizational skills by planning legal conferences. There was writing, too: emails and course descriptions and the like.

Then again, an unlikely move - to Iceland, of all places - where I worked as a hotel receptionist, wedding planner and again, writer.

I launched my freelance business in the months following Covid layoffs. Though it felt terrifying to be without full-time employment, that swathe of unfilled time allowed me the opportunity to take some chances.

I also started studying the Salesforce platform and received my Salesforce Administrator Credential in 2021 - something I'll no doubt cover in a later missive.

So there. I've covered my credentials. But of course, I am more than just some automaton content creator.

I'm also a reader, a mother, a wannabe DIY-er, a half-assed gourmet, an impatient gardener. American by birth, I live in Iceland with my husband and young daughter.

Perhaps I'll expand on some of these subjects as we continue to get to know one another.
